Filip Nocko, the mastermind behind 'Filip von Polen'
dawning label, started off in business with whimsical
scarves inspired by a bold bucolic mood recapturing
his own childhood: born on the banks of the Oder river,
in Wroclaw, Filip left Poland to receive a bachelor's
degree from Berlin's University of Applied Science while
showcasing some of his works during Berlin fashion
week under the label '30pairofhands'.

Since then, he worked for Zac Posen, Jeremy Scott and
Jean Charles de Castelbajac training in NYC and L.A. and
currently lives in Paris where he came to establish his own
'Filip von Polen' label: he felt the itch to create a feeling subtly
expressing the essence of Polish people and the sense of
conviviality of rural society. Most of his images are Polish
and as he proudly points out ”... the wholesome nature
Jean Charles de Castelbajac training in NYC and L.A. and
currently lives in Paris where he came to establish his own
'Filip von Polen' label: he felt the itch to create a feeling subtly
expressing the essence of Polish people and the sense of
conviviality of rural society. Most of his images are Polish

of the company itself is very Polish: colorful,
organic and always fun.”
His playful approach turned popular scarves into fancy
foulards - actually the latest accessories fad and not only
in Paris - through colorful prints subtly playing with Poland's
wildlife and fine graphic treatments. Filip von Polen's s/s
2014 collection plays with farm animals like sheep, roosters
and white rabbits which are geometrically texturized and
digitally collaged over vivid rustic settings to create trendy
silk scarves (produced in Italy) humorously evoking the
carefree days of summer at the family farm,
foulards - actually the latest accessories fad and not only
in Paris - through colorful prints subtly playing with Poland's
wildlife and fine graphic treatments. Filip von Polen's s/s

Filip came to reinvent as he explains, ”the traditional scarves
found among the Highlanders of the Podhale region (famous
for the rich tradition in folklore and romanticized imagination)
and appropriate them for today's fashion market.”
